Many countries have mountain ranges with beautiful scenery and Peru itself is richly blessed in this respect with many other areas for hiking. However the scenery is only one of the elements responsible for the magic of the Inca Trail. Can there be any walk anywhere in the world with such a combination of natural beauty, history and sheer mystery and with such an awe-inspiring destination? The various ruins along the way serve to heighten the hiker's sense of anticipation as he or she approaches what would surely find a place in any new list of archaeological wonders of the world - Machu Picchu.
Day 01 INCA RAIL – CHILCA & WUAYLLABAMBA
Early morning pick up from hotel to transfer by bus to the town of Urubamba (one hour from Cusco). After this stop we will go to Chilca to start the challenge on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After approximately three hours walking we have the first stop for lunch. Then continue walking towards the first camp in Wayllabamba, on the way, we visit the archaeological complex of Llactapata. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Maximum altitude: 9,840 feet (3,000 meters)
Approximate time: 5 to 6 hours

Day 02 INCA RAIL – WARMIWAÑUSCA & PACAYMAYO
Breakfast. Begin the hardest part of the trail, followed by a 3 hour hike up to Warmiwañusca, meaning "Dead Woman", a 4,200 meters above sea level; we will enjoy the panoramic view of the whole area. After lunch descend to Pacaymayo, camping and dinner.

Maximum altitude: 13,780 feet (4,200 meters)
Approximate time: 6 to 7 hours

Day 03 INCA RAIL – PUYA PATAMARKA & WIÑAY HUAYNA
Breakfast. Begin the descent towards the second most important pass of the trail at 3,800 meters above sea level; where we will enjoy a tour of the archaeological complex Runku Rakay and the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca. Then continue towards Puya Patamarka "Village in the clouds" important archaeological monument, where we stop for lunch. After a short break, start walking again up to Huayna Wiñay "Forever Young", where we will have a guided tour of this impressive archaeological complex.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Approximate time: 8 to 9 hours

Day 04 INCA RAIL – WIÑAY HUAYNA & MACHUPICCHU
Breakfast. We walk an hour through the forest to arrive at Inti Punku “Sun Door " , known as the gateway to MachuPicchu, where you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Inca citadel. On arrival at Machu Picchu , we will have a guided tour of the Citadel , visit the main ruins and monuments , such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries . We will also have free time to stroll around the citadel and if you wish and have enough energy for more, we can climb to Huayna Picchu "Young Mountain" (It is necessary to acquire a new entry compound Huaynapicchu + Machupicchu: $ 59.00 per person, ONLY for those visitors who wish to climb Huayna Picchu). In the afternoon we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). At the appropriate time we take the train to Ollantaytambo to go from there in tourist transportation to the city of Cusco. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
