Patabamba meaning "on the pampas" in Castilian, is a rural community of weavers famous for the beauty of its tissues, where visitors can see reflected in a masterful way the culture, customs and dreams of the Andean Runa or local resident of the Andes . In the middle of the plain, enjoy the warm welcome of patabamba residents and its spectacular viewpoints, which will reveal the beauty that only the Andean landscape can offer, with all these things we are more than assured an unforgettable experience between "weavers of the Andes "
Day 01 CUSCO - PATABAMBA
We start at 8: 00 am. (Approx. 1 hr. 15 min). Arrive at the town of Patabamba where we will be welcome and we will contact the people with whom we learn and share their customs and habits. Then we will start with the activity of textiles, walk to identify and collect plants not only for the dyeing wool but also for the ethnobotanical tourism. We will learn techniques that have been used since ancient times and have been transmitted to the present day from generation to generation, "from parents to children" know and learn the process of making textiles from wool shearing, spinning, washing, dyeing with natural dyes made from plants and minerals dyeing, weaving and local iconography textiles.
Typical lunch (Pachamanca).
In the afternoon ethnobotanical tourism, will be presented the utility and properties of local herbs. Learn to make a "poultice" of medicinal herbs. Dinner, overnight stay in a local house.
Day 02 PATABAMBA - HUCHUY QOSQO - LAMAY - CUSCO
After breakfast we will say goodbye to our hosts. Then start walking down a path that will lead to communities and surrounding villages, from these points will enjoy a magnificent view of the Cordillera Urubamba and the Sacred Valley. We will have lunch (lunch box) in a natural stop.
Continuing the walk we will arrive at Puma Punku cannon or "La Puerta del Puma", from there take the Qapacñan or "The Great Way", this will lead to a desolate and mysterious archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo or "Little Cusco" with its beautiful terraces, stone buildings and adobe bricks.
We then walk down the bridle path to the village of Lamay, there we expect the private transport to take us back to Cusco.

Return to Cusco.
